Pulse Telemedicine
By streamlining customer sign up and activation Prudential was able to nearly double its telemedicine booking rates inside the Pulse app.
Prudential partnered with MyDoc, a Singapore digital healthcare provider, to offer telemedicine and online consultation services through its Pulse app. Pulse users can schedule video consultations with a licensed doctor, obtain electronic prescriptions and medical certifications, and arrange for the delivery of their prescribed medication – all from the comfort of their homes.

Telemedicine is becoming more and more popular as a way to get treatment for minor health concerns without having to go to the doctor's office. Prudential, a large insurance company, decided to test out telemedicine and partnered with MyDoc, a Singapore digital healthcare provider, to offer the service through its Pulse app. While the service has seen high volumes of visitors, it has been challenged with low booking rates. The high volume of visitors suggested that there is interest, but the low booking rates suggested that there are still barriers that needed to be addressed.

Prudential was able to nearly double their booking rates. In addition, 87% of the initiated doctor calls were completed, which exceeded company's expectations. Pulse is now available in 19 markets and 11 languages in Asia and Africa, and has been downloaded more than 30 million times. This shows that telemedicine is a viable option for companies looking to improve patient satisfaction and reduce costs.
